SLC1This house along with the last few, were the start of our obsession with renovating houses in Sugar House, which is a part of Salt Lake City in transition to be the new trend spot. There are a lot of renovations in Sugar House, it’s close to everything, and you get to keep the charm and character that these old houses provide. A first for us on this house was adding a coffered ceiling in the living room. Doing subtle texture on a wall or ceiling adds a lot of interest and can set one house apart from the rest.

Biggest change made: The kitchen. We tore down a wall added a BIG island and made a totally sweet kitchen in this tiny house.

We bought it for $169,900

Our renovation cost was $27,000

We sold it for $244,700

There are obviously more costs in there than just a renovation cost and the purpose of this blog isn’t to tell you $ for $ how much we made on each deal but I’ll let you use your imagination and guess how much money we made or lost (because unfortunately that happens too).

** SO, I canNOT find any before photos of this house other than those two that I listed above so here are some after photos and you’ll have to guess what it looked like before **
