Another great house that we had the pleasure of working on and selling to some lovely buyers is Logan Ave in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City. This home rests in a great neighborhood on a great street where you are close to everything but the maturity of the street makes you feel like you are away from everything. I loved being able to completely transform this house! The kitchen before was a totally different layout with walls everywhere that just was not in accordance in what people want these days. So we opened everything up (including the ceilng) and created an open floor plan with some sweet loft space! The before and afters speak for themselves I think. This house really was a pleasure to work on and I hope nothing but comfort and happiness for the new owners.
Paint: Montpelier Ashlar Gray (Valspar); Harvest Brown (Valspar) triangles; Delicate White (Olympic) Trim; Naval Blue (Sherwin Williams) Front door and shutters
Biggest Changes Made: The kitchen. We moved all the plumbing and electrical around to make for a much more open floor plan. Also by vaulting the ceiling and adding loft space we added square footage and grandeur with tall ceilings in the kitchen.
Square footage: 2500
Purchase Price: $360,000
Our renovation cost was: $100,000
Sold Price: $549,000
There are obviously more costs in there than just a renovation cost and the purpose of this blog isn’t to tell you $ for $ how much we made on each deal but I’ll let you use your imagination and guess how much money we made or lost (because unfortunately that happens too)
